A jury in Montgomery County, Maryland, returned a guilty verdict in the deaths of Daniel C. Williams Jr., 18, and his friend, 18-year-old Connor Williams.

The two children were found dead inside their home in December 2000.

Police say they were sexually assaulted and strangled.

Connor Williams was found dead in his own bedroom.

His body was found in the backyard on the afternoon of January 11, 2021.

Daniel Williams was in his bed in the upstairs bedroom.

He was found naked in a pool of blood.

A plastic bag containing the two young boys’ clothes was found next to him.

The victims’ mother, Barbara Williams, has pleaded not guilty to murder and manslaughter charges.

The case drew international attention and brought a national spotlight to Montgomery County.

A witness told police the couple was drunk at the time of the murders and that they killed the children because they were jealous.

The couple’s brother told police they had been dating for about a year.

Police believe the two boys were beaten and killed for money and alcohol.
