YO I have seen and heard some of the most incredible stories of youth in Ferguson, Missouri.
Some are amazing.
I have not seen many people who have experienced something that I have.
My first thought is, How does this happen?
How do people get away with it?
The people in Ferguson are so out of control.
They are so desperate.
I saw an article that talked about a 17-year-old kid who had to go through a fire drill in the back yard of his parents home.
He was trying to get his parents to let him go to his high school graduation.
The drill was so stressful.
My mother is really stressed out.
I told her I am so glad that I am a teenager and I am trying to live the way I want to live.
When I was a kid, I was so happy.
I would walk the block and go, “Yo, it’s so cool, it feels good to be a teenager.”
Now, it makes me feel really, really sad.
What’s your experience been?
I am very grateful to have the privilege of being a part of this.
I am going to miss my friends.
I really miss my brothers and sisters.
The world is a bigger place and I feel like it’s going to get better.
The truth is, we are not going to have justice for the people who died.
The problem is, if we don’t get this right, there’s going, “This is the last place I am,” as I saw in the film, The Greatest.
